Michael Saylor is back in the spotlight—and so is Bitcoin. With a cryptic tweet and a fresh $1 billion in the bank, the MicroStrategy co-founder has all but confirmed another round of aggressive BTC accumulation. This move could have ripple effects across institutional investment circles and the broader crypto market.

“Send More Orange”: Saylor’s Signature Signal

On June 8, 2025, Michael Saylor, now Executive Chairman of Strategy Inc. (formerly MicroStrategy), took to X with a chart showing the firm’s escalating Bitcoin reserves. Alongside it, he wrote just three words: “Send more orange.”

To most, it sounds cryptic. But to those in the know, this is Saylor’s recurring code for “we’re buying more Bitcoin.” He’s used this phrase, or variations of it, before nearly every major BTC purchase the company has made.

For the crypto faithful, Saylor’s orange tweet isn’t just a meme, it’s a market signal.

Weekly BTC Buys Continue: 705 BTC for $75M

According to Strategy Inc.’s latest filing, the company acquired 705 BTC between May 26 and June 1 at an average price of $106,495 per coin, spending a total of $75 million. That pushes the company’s cumulative Bitcoin holdings to approximately 580,955 BTC, valued at over $61 billion at current prices.

These numbers are staggering. Strategy Inc. now holds more Bitcoin than any other publicly traded company or national government. And based on current valuations, it’s sitting on over $20 billion in unrealized gains.

 Saylor $1B fundraise

A $1 Billion War Chest for More Bitcoin

Saylor’s firm didn’t stop at buying. In a bold move, Strategy Inc. recently announced a $1 billion preferred stock offering, dubbed “Series A Stride.” Priced at $85 per share and paying a 10% non-cumulative dividend, the offering was targeted at yield-seeking institutional investors.

According to the company’s official prospectus, the net proceeds—estimated to be around $979 million—are intended primarily to buy more Bitcoin. The remainder may be used for general corporate purposes.

This marks yet another round of capital reallocation into BTC, a strategy Saylor has consistently championed since MicroStrategy’s first Bitcoin purchase in 2020.

Market Confidence or Reckless Leverage?

Saylor’s aggressive strategy has won both praise and skepticism. While many in the crypto community applaud his long-term conviction, critics argue that leveraged bets on a volatile asset could backfire if Bitcoin prices suddenly reverse.

Nonetheless, the broader market tends to interpret Saylor’s actions as a bullish signal. His continued accumulation not only reflects confidence in BTC’s long-term upside but also influences other institutional actors who often look to Strategy Inc. as a benchmark.

As one Reddit user on r/CryptoCurrency joked,

“Saylor’s not stopping until he owns one million Bitcoin, or gets margin called trying.”

Institutional Accumulation Accelerates

MicroStrategy (now Strategy Inc.) has been buying Bitcoin for nine consecutive weeks. Analysts believe this consistent accumulation is part of a calculated play to:

  • Influence market sentiment.

  • Set a standard for corporate treasury management.

  • Create a public vehicle for direct BTC exposure.

According to CoinMarketCap and IntoTheBlock data, BTC’s accumulation wallets have increased by 6% in the past 30 days. While some attribute this to ETF inflows and retail FOMO, many experts credit Saylor’s actions as a key catalyst for sustained momentum.

Saylor’s Vision: Bitcoin as Corporate Reserve Standard

Michael Saylor’s strategy isn’t just about speculation—it’s a philosophical and financial stance.

He’s called Bitcoin “digital property” and “economic immortality.” In previous interviews, he said:

“Cash is trash. Bitcoin is the hardest money ever created. It’s our best shot at preserving corporate value long-term.”

That ideology now drives one of the most radical treasury models in corporate history, where Bitcoin isn’t an investment, but the primary asset on the balance sheet.

The Bigger Picture: What Comes Next?

Saylor’s latest tease suggests another major purchase could be imminent, possibly using the full $1 billion from the recent fundraising round. If so, this could:

  • Push BTC past resistance at $107,000.

  • Spur more institutional buy-ins, especially among yield-focused funds.

  • Reinforce BTC’s status as a macro hedge asset in 2025.

Already, some crypto influencers are calling this “the second phase of institutional Bitcoin adoption.”

Final Thoughts

Michael Saylor has once again signaled his relentless belief in Bitcoin, not with words, but with billions. As Strategy Inc. prepares to inject more capital into BTC, the ripple effect across the crypto ecosystem could be profound.

Whether you’re a retail investor or a fund manager watching from the sidelines, one thing is clear: when Saylor says “send more orange,” the market listens.
