SEC Unlocks the Altcoin Basket as Solana, XRP, and Cardano Just Went Legit

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has approved the conversion of the Grayscale Digital Large Cap Fund into a fully regulated Grayscale Crypto Index ETF. Grayscale’s fund, which has traded on OTC Markets under the ticker GDLC since 2019; will now move to continuous on-exchange trading, including daily creation and redemption of units.

The accelerated order also amended Rule 8.500-E; allowing limited liability structures to issue Trust Units and recognizing index-based digital asset portfolios.
